Sage Wisdom

When I think about winter, I think about something cozy, a mug of hot chocolate, the first rich fragrant smell of smoke from wood stoves and something warm and soft to wrap myself in for the early morning strolls. I wanted to create something woodsy and whimsical to wear during this time of year.
Sage Wisdom Hat has a very unusual construction, thus making it very unique, ergonomic, and stylish; as a matter of fact it is the most comfortable hat I own.
The hat is worked in the round from bottom up. The brim is made with twisted stitches and is shaped with short rows to create a crescent shape. The front of the hat features very unique leaf design, and requires some basic cabling knowledge. The rest of the hat is worked in stockinette stitch. The back of the hat is gathered as you knit it, thus making the back portion shorter than the front for a very comfortable shape that follows head contours perfectly.
