Now that it is spring again and sun shines brightly, I am working on my Sun and Sand ebook.
New year brought new inspiration for my designs, and some earlier design prototypes are not forgotten about either.
My newest inspiration and newest pattern that I am adding to the ebook is Sweet Poppy.
The cardigan
is completely seamless and is worked from the top down. I have used an amazing
technique developed by Susie Myers, “contiguous set-in sleeves”, that allows shoulder
shaping and construction of set-in sleeves without the use of a single short
row.
Sizes available:
When choosing a size, please do not rely solely on
age categories. Measure your child and choose the appropriate size. About 1 inch of positive ease is already
incorporated into the pattern.
Length is measured from the underarm to where the back ends.
Gauge: 22 sts and 28-29 rows per 4x4 inches in stockinette stitch on 4.0 mm needles or size to obtain gauge.
Note on yarn: Please avoid yarn with bamboo or silk content of more than 30%, and if you do have these fibers in your yarn, make sure to make a very generous swatch.
