Spring is coming, and I am all too happy for it. We already have some blossoms coming out on the trees near the house. For me the spring officially starts when the magnolia tree outside our windows will show its gorgeous blossoms, and that can happen any day now. The buds are getting bigger and bigger.
I have started working on several springy designs, having gorgeous yarn at hand helps a lot too. But before I get into showing you new pieces in works, I want to mention here that I am hosting a new knit-along. And it is not without some competitions and prizes.
The whole event will take place on ravelry.com
Here is the link for full details: Spring KAL: show me some colors!
Start to finish: April 1st - 30th, 2011.
Any design of mine is eligible for participation.
Prizes:No one person can win more than one category.
Photography: I love seeing everyone’s FOs, but nothing makes the project stand out more than creative photography.
The prize is any ravelry pattern (mine or not).
Unique Project: It is always exciting to see some cool yarns, unusual colors combinations, and some creative mods. Razzle dazzle us!
The prize is $25 gift certificate at http://www.eatsleepknit.com/
Crowd Favorite: I will pick 6 projects for voting, unless there is an obvious winner.
The prize is a pattern kit (any one of my patterns + yarn to knit it). All my patterns are eligible, even those that are still in testing phase.
Speedy fingers to everyone!
YEAH! This sounds fun! I have some great yarn already I'm just waiting for the pattern I would really like to do to be available. :)
ReplyDeleteI rearly look forward to this KAL, and the spring too, here in Denmark it is still very cold and winterly.
