YARDAGE AND SIZE INFO
You will need 1 skein of worsted yarn that has ~ 150 (170) yds/137 (155) m.
Hat will fit a head circumference of
Child: 18-20”/46-51 cm
Adult: 21-23”/ 53.5-58.5 cm

GAUGE: 19 sts and 25 rows in stockinette per 4x4 inches/10x10 cm on US #7/4.5 mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
NOTIONS
US #4/3.5 mm and US #7/4.5 mm circular needles (16” /40 cm and dpns) or size needed to obtain gauge;
Cable needle;
1 stitch marker;
3 mm crochet hook or darning needle.

Valanar

A Little Unexpected has a few unexpected features that will delight any knitter. It is a very versatile design that allows you to style the hat several ways. The design features cables with a little twist that allows them to pop on the stockinette background just as well as it normally happens on the reverse stockinette background.

A Little Unexpected
