Uncle George

It is a very sad time here and has been for a week.

My uncle George passed away last night after being in a hospital for a whole week. He would have been 94 this October. I have been taking care of him for a number of years. He was greatly loved, and will be very missed.

He was one of THE instrumental forces behind my serious venturing into the designing and making a carrier of it. He knew knitting was my passion, he believed in me and did everything in his power to make my life happy.

I wish you could have seen how much joy and happiness my every little success and achievement gave him. The sparkle in his eyes and his big smile were lighting the whole room.

My uncle George was one of the kindest, most loving, generous, giving persons I have known my entire life. He made a big impact not only in my life but in everyone's who knew him.

He never wanted a funeral, but instead wanted us to have a party and celebrate life.
So have a drink with me, and keep him in your prayers.

We love you, George!

In his memory I gave a gift to people around the world - any one of my COMPLETED INDIVIDUAL self-published patterns through Ravelry.

Offer ended at the end of 9th June 2013.

Thank you everyone for hleping to celebrate George's life!

  20. Sorry for your loss. I am glad unread about him on your blog--what a gem of a man! Thank you for the free pattern--I will think of both of you when I knit it & your daughter too as the "twinkle in his eyes" reminds me of my grandpa and how he connected with my oldest daughter. 93! Here's to uncle George when I make my next toast and raise a glass in his honor and to celebrate his special role in your life, Elena!
