Deva & Alchemist KAL

Our August - September KAL's for the girl's Deva and unisex Alchemist designs have got off to a racing start.  Already we are seeing some very attractive finished projects!  Have you decided who to make one for and chosen the yarn for yours yet?  We'd love to hear about it in our Ravelry Forum.

There are prizes to be won too - yarn to make your own Alize or Crossroads Hat and Cowl Set (including patterns).  Others will win copies of the Alize or Crossroads designs!

Kerri (Kerrilucko) loved making Deva for a friends daughter.  She says the lace adds just the right amount of difficulty to keep things interesting yet is very eye catching too!  She found knitting the belt at the end a bit of bore but the because of the difference it made to the finished item feels it was well worth it, and recommends that everyone does because it finished off the garment beautifully.

Kerri would recommend this vest to anyone wanting a sleeveless top for a little girl as it is so feminine.  She also says the pattern is easy enough for a new knitter to follow but also complex enough to keep an experienced person interested.

Carmen (pcinfo) knitted Alchemist for her God-daughter.  She says it is the perfect garment for when she starts school soon as it will keep her warm yet still allow her to join in all activities as sleeves can sometimes get in the way in school.

Carmen is happy to recommend this pattern to other knitters as it requires relatively little yarn, is a fast knit and is well written.
